We are currently looking for an Accounting Assistant AP to join the team!

Pay: $19-$20/hr DOE 

Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm Mon-Fri 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process customer invoices including cash receipts (A/R) or process vendor invoices including receipt, entry, and processing (A/P).
  • Ensure timely payments of customer invoices and maintains accurate records and control reports (A/R) or ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records and control reports (A/P).
  • Responsible for preparing accounts receivable register and related reports (A/R) or preparing accounts payable register and related reports (A/P).
  • Provide backup on telephone and customer service duties as needed.
  • Communicate with Customers/Vendors/Other internal departments to solve issues, as required.
  • Prepare various accounting statements and financial reports as needed.
  • Assist with Accounting related projects; e.g. Reconciliation of Tooling jobs, managing Accrued Receipts, etc.
  • Account reconciliation as requested.
  • Prepare and enter Journal Entries into the Accounting System.
  • Support month-end closing responsibilities not limited to AP accruals, Reconciliations, AR and AP Aging reconciliations to General Ledgers, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor or Associates degree in Accounting

  • 2 years minimum related office experience (AR, AP, GL)
  • Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Typing or keyboarding experience required, intermediate excel required.
  • Good communication and written skills.
  • Proactive. Problem-solving skills.
  • Work well independently and as a team player.
  • Attentive to detail and accuracy, and well organized
  • Experience using computer applications; i.e. outlook, word, excel, ERP accounting systems.
